Giving & Support for Mission

Our church supports the mission of the Church beyond our parish.  Each year the church council decides on the budget to help wider mission work of the Church as well as those in need of special assistance.

We give generously to the mission and education funds through Living is Giving and specific projects of the Uniting Church in Australia. Also we give individual donations and gifts by way of Lent Event, Messy Church, Samaritan’s Box and Christmas Bowl.  Further information can be found on their websites.

Food Basket for Newtown Mission

We donate food for Newtown Mission. Newtown Mission has been providing free meals to those in need and distributing food parcels to the disadvantaged members of the community.  Our church has been participating in this project.

If you want to help them, you can help Newtown Mission by donating non-perishable food. For example:

  • Tinned fruit, vegetables, fish, spaghetti & baked beans etc.
  • Long life milk
  • Soup
  • Rice & pasta
  • Coffee & tea; and
  • Cereals
